Echocardiograph machine Veterinary Specialists and Animal Emergency Service is a state of the art facility where echocardiography (ultrasound of the heart), electrocardiography (ECG / EKG), radiography (xrays), blood pressure monitoring and 24 hour Holter monitoring can be performed to evaluate the cardiac status of your pet. Our echocardiograph machine is a Vivid I Pro with 2-dimensional, M-mode, color Doppler, spectral Doppler and tissue Doppler imaging capabilities. Dr. Adin also provides cardiac certification examinations including OFA Cardiac Certification.

The vast majority of examinations are performed without sedation or shaving. Dogs and cats lie on their right and left sides on a cushioned table for approximately 20 minutes while the ECG and echocardiogram are performed. Most evaluations are completed within several hours of the appointment.
