Surgery will be performed at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester (VSR). The address is 825 White Spruce Blvd, Rochester, NY. The phone number is 424-1260. If you need to reschedule surgery please call at least 24 hours prior to surgery to do so.

You must drop your pet off at VSR by 7am the morning of surgery. Do not feed your pet after midnight the night before surgery. Your pet can have water and any medications he/she is currently taking. Please bring these medications and a written schedule for administration with you. If you need a refill of any medications, please let us know when you drop your pet off for surgery.

Do not leave your pet’s leash, collar, toys or blanket when he/she is dropped off for surgery.

You will be asked to leave a deposit for surgery when you drop your pet off. The balance of the procedural fees is due when you pick your pet up after surgery. If you wish to discuss payment options please contact a Customer Service Representative at VSR (424-1260) prior to your scheduled surgery date.

Suture removal will occur approximately 10 days after surgery. This is included in the surgical fee.

Your pet may require periodic rechecks after suture removal. An estimate for these rechecks will be provided by your doctor. The number of rechecks will be determined by the procedure performed and your pet’s progress.
